Sohrab’s journey began with his graduation from the National Dairy Research Institute in Bangalore, followed by higher education and hands-on training in Germany. Armed with expertise in cheese-making, milk handling, and fermentation, he returned to Pune with a vision. Together with his wife Marlene, a skilled Dairy Bacteriologist, and their three children—Zubin, Tina, and Diana—the family brought that vision to life, blending tradition, science, and creativity to craft premium cheeses.
What sets ABC Farms apart is how the Chinoy family’s passion reflects in every part of their process. From experimenting with bold new cheese flavours to ensuring ethical, organic practices on their lush farmland at Dehu Road, every decision is made with love and care. Their farm, home to Holstein cows and Swiss Saanen goats, produces organic milk that forms the foundation of their cheeses. The cheese factory in Pune, is where the magic happens daily, with over 40 varieties of cheese being crafted—from aged Cheddar to delicate French ripened cheese.
But the Chinoys didn’t stop there. They’ve opened their doors—literally—inviting everyone to experience the world of ABC Farms firsthand. Whether it’s through cheese tours, where you can meet their happy cows and
